The short version
Topside is software that hot tub, swim spa, sauna and pool dealers use to run their stores. Each dealer owns the information it puts into Topside, including its customers' names, phone numbers and purchase history. We keep it safe, we keep each dealer's information separate from every other dealer's, and we use it only to run the service. We never sell it.
Who this covers
- Dealers and their staff who sign in to Topside.
- Dealers' customers, whose details a dealer records in Topside. For this information, the dealer decides what is collected and why. Topside handles it on the dealer's behalf.
- Visitors to gettopside.com, including anyone who asks for a demo.
What we collect
- Account details: staff names, email addresses, roles and sign-in activity.
- What dealers enter: customers, quotes, sales, deliveries, service jobs, notes, call and text history, and photos.
- Demo requests: your name, dealership, email and phone, if you fill in the form.
- Basic technical data: the kind of device and browser used, and error logs that help us fix problems.
How we use it
- To run Topside for the dealer: show its records, send the texts and review requests its staff send, and keep its reports.
- To support the dealer when it asks for help.
- To keep the service secure and working.
- To reply to demo requests.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use one dealer's customers to market to anyone else.
Services we rely on
Topside runs on trusted providers that handle data only to provide their part of the service: hosting (Vercel), the database (Supabase), texting and reviews when a dealer connects its own Podium account, maps (Google), and payments (Stripe). Each dealer's texting and other outside accounts belong to that dealer.
How we keep it separate and safe
- Every record belongs to one dealer. The database itself refuses to show a record to anyone outside that dealer.
- Information is encrypted in transit and at rest.
- Keys for a dealer's outside accounts are stored only on our servers and are never sent to a browser.
- Topside staff access a dealer's information only to support that dealer.
Your choices
A dealer can export its information at any time, and can ask us to delete it when it leaves Topside. If you are a dealer's customer and want your information corrected or deleted, contact that dealer, and we will help them do it. Anyone can reach us at privacy@gettopside.com.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell dealers before the change takes effect.
